I went to a sale and had a horrible experience, but still liked the sheital - am kicking myself for not buying it cheaper then...anyway, I went online but I don't feel comfortable buying a sheital online, I still want to try it on. I prefer not going to Brooklyn, but will if I have to. I can probably buy them on Long Island, but for a lot more. No where on their website did they say where they are located. I thought they had a showroom in Brooklyn. Anyone know of it?

Also, anyone have a Milano Victoria? What do you think?

I have one. I got it at a sale before Pesach. I'm pretty happy with it. It's very straight (although mine turned out not to be totally straight when I wore it in the rain:() and thin. It's really meant for a sleek bob type style. If you get one I can give you a recommendation of a lady to get it cut by who really ddi a good job and isnt very expensive. I didn't get mine at the brooklyn location but there is a showroom in Brooklyn. I would wait for a sale if you don't want to shlep to brooklyn. But, it's not so much cheaper at the sale. think they're around 500, I paid 400 because they were brand new and on special introductory sale. Good luck!

Thanks! That's just what I'm looking for - short and thin. Easy to take care of, and so I look put together instead of wearing tichels every day, which I do but hate.

I'm thinking of just going to the showroom, just so I don't have to deal with the crowds, but I guess it depends on how much I'll save.

Oh, and that's another thing, I don't want to spend $500 on a sheital and then$200 on a cut!

The lady I went to works in a upscale salon but not specifically for sheitl's, hence the normal price. I think she charges $90-not a bargain but much less than most people. Oh, and I liked her becuase she knows how to cut the current styles not just the same long layered sheitls everyone has.

don't know if you are still interested or not, but there is the sale going on at Milano now. I went today and I checked out the Victoria since I wear short shaitels. It turns out the Victoria is pretty cheap now, I think $350, but I could be wrong. I hesitated and at the end didn't buy it because it is not European hair. Depending on your hair color this can be a great disaster. (In the past bought a shaitel told it was European then after one wsh it ws too frizzy, etc- the shaitel macher explained it was 100% Human hair and since I have a light brown shade, it was treated too much and would never be as silky as wehn I first got it).

They do have other shaitels there now, reasonably priced- even the long ones were only $700, maybe more, I can't say for sure bec I only wanetd a short shaitel. I ended up getting a shoulder legnth one with layers that I will just trim for now and get cut later on, I paid $450.

Thanks! Where did you go to get them?

They're Asian hair?

I have VERY dark brown - a #2 or darker.

I went to the Milano Showroom in Brooklyn, not sure but I think it ended today, I know they are having the sale in Cedarhurst on Monday.

The lady who worked there wasn't sure, but I assume that the hair was Asian.

I have a friend who got the same shaitel as mine many years ago, the one that was a lemon, that was made with Asian hair. Her shaitel was much darker and lasted much longer. The shaitel macher told me its because hers was less treated, since it was darker color. I assume from that info that you wouldn't have a problem with the Victoria, since you are getting such a dark color. I think they had ones that were precut, for $575. If you can check it out tommorow.

At the showroom the woman who works there told me that the Victoria, Reese, and the ponytail are not European hair, while all other shaitels were European hair.
