I mix oil, spices and fresh garlic in the food processor . Then I pour the mixture over the tilapia and bake it.

You can bread it and fry or put some oil with spices, cover and bake on 350 for half an hour.

You can put a little bit of olive oil, some lemon juice, salt pepper garlic and sprinkle some dill weed. then bake it at 350 till it looks done. I don't think it should cook longer than 20 mins. Save the juice from the fish and add it to some mayonnaise. Enough to make a sauce. Then serve the sauce over the fish. Very good.

What's the recipe for the beer batter? I once made one from the spice and spirit for meatballs.

I found this recipe on a bag of frozen tilapia once, & I've been using it ever since:

Cajun Baked Tilapia:

4-6 tilapia fillets
2 ounces olive or canola oil (I use less, & spray some pam)
cajun seasoning
12 fresh mushrooms
1 small onion

Coat a 9x13 pan with half the oil. Cut mushrooms in half and place in pan. Cut onions into rings and spread over mushrooms. Sprinkle the onions and mushrooms with cajun seasoning. Top with a single layer of fish and drizzle with remaining oil and more cajun seasoning. Bake at 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes or until bubbly.

You can top it with salsa or tomato sauce, bake in the oven till the fish flakes easily.

Another easy one: cover fillets with tehina, sprinkle either chili pepper or paprika and chopped parsley, bake in the oven.

You can use these recipes to other white fleshed fish.

here's a recipe with a different twist-

lay out 3-4 pieces of phyllo dough and place a piece of fish in the middle. Spread a little mayo (optional) and sprinkle with salt, garlic powder, and onion powder. Wrap the dough up around the fish. place seam side down on a baking sheet, brush with beaten egg, and bake at 325 for around 12 minutes.

Basic Cajun Seasoning
• 1 tsp salt
• 1/2 tsp ground cayenne pepper
• 1/2 tsp ground white pepper
• 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
• 1/2 tsp paprika
• 1/2 tsp onion powder
• 1/2 tsp garlic powder
Combine in plastic cup. Mix well.

You can also add a bit of oregano and/or thyme to the mix.
You can cut down on the 3 peppers if you don't like it so hot.

Sprinkle w/ kosher/coarse salt and freshly ground pepper. Then a thin layer of lite mayo. Shake parmesan cheese over that and then some dried dill. If I have canned mushrooms , I sometimes add those before the parmesan layer. Bake at 400 till cheese starts browning. It looks gourmet and tastes really delicious. I'm always so proud of myself when I make this because 1: I made it up, 2: it takes a second, 3: it looks great &4: it tastes soooo gooood : )

If it helps you, last night I made a similar recipe - I dipped flounder in spiced egg and then parmesan cheese. It baked at 425 for about 10 minutes. And it was yummy!
