What kind of camera should I buy?

My Dh and I decided to buy ourselves a digital camera for Chanukah. I would like to spend under 150$. I know the Canon is the best. Does anyone know which model of Canon is very good, under this price range?

Nikon CoolPix S1 shots amazing pictures and is ultra thin. We went through 4 of them because it has a flaw – the screen will suddenly turn black if its dropped too often.

Solution – call it dishonest if you must – make sure to have it ‘dropped’ before the warranty is up and get a new one just in the niche of time.

Canon is the best, sharpest pics unless you want to spend over $600-then you can go with the Nikons.

Any Canon SD series. If you look on Ebay you can probably get it cheaper. the SD1100 is a great camera- Amazon sells for $158.

Go to www.DPreview.com They have the lo-down on every camera under the sun. You can also compare different cameras.

I wouldn't get a Nikon point and shoot, I wasn't so impressed w\ them. (Then again I'm very picky when it comes to pictures)
I think Canon is your best bet. Just make sure you get a good name- a camera company- not a kodak or an elixer or one of those brands- remember unless its a good company and you know what you're getting- you get what you pay for. Don't settle just bc its cheap you may end up regretting it!

It's a relatively new camera. Sounds nice- made for women- slim nice zoom, easy to use.

It takes 2 AA rechargeable batteries- not a lithium battery which last much longer than rechargeable- it could get annoying.

They said it was made to replace the Powershot A1000 IS- which got great reviews.

I feel canon are the best try to get another oponion

I would go with a canon power shot

I just bought the cannon powershot 1100. I'm very happy with it so far. It replacedmy cannon powershot 550. The camera still works, but I wanted a new one and since my parents were coming and I can't resist a bargain
