I have a good recipe, but it calls for a container strawberries w/ sauce. I can't seem to find them in my local groceries. I think they might've discontinued making it.
Anyone have any suggestion what I could use instead? I could get a bag of strawberries, but what about the sauce and sweetness?
Thanks.

there are sometimes frozen strawberries with sauce, can you find those?
you can make strawberry sauce by boiling strawberries in sugar and water. if you want it to be thick, boil it longer, but you may want to remove the strawberries after a while. and you probably want to use a lot of sugar.

Put a bag of frozen strawberries in a saucepan, with 3 Tbs. sugar. Blend with an immersion blender. Bring to a slow boil over a low flame. Add 1 Tbs. cornstarch dissolved in 1/3 Cup cold water. Still until thickened. Turn off the flame and add 1 tsb. liqueur.
It's a great sauce.

Thanks for your replies.
Maidale, I made something similiar to yours, but without cornstarch. I knew it's missing something, but couldn't figure out what. I added some orange juice, and confectioners sugar (part of another recipe) and it was ok.
I guess it was good in taste, cuz people ate my fruit salad!!
Thanks again!
