Does anyone have this stroller? or know anything about it? I did research online and most people are very happy, but I was wondering if anyone here has it and what you think of it.

I haven't had my baby yet. so I didn't buy a stroller. I'm deciding btw the valco latitude and the baby jogger mini. pros for me for the valco are that it is car seat compatible and the handle is adjustible. cons are that it is heavier than the city mini & if I'm not mistaken it is half an inch wider. it is also more expensive.

but the city mini has a weight minimum of 20 pounds which means that you are not able to use it from birth... the valco can be used from birth.

20 lbs? it's a double stroller isn't it? so my toddler weights more than 20 lbs by herself.

she said min not maximum. meaning the child needs to be 20lbs before it can go in the stroller, which Im not sure is actually true, Im just clarifying

I know what she meant. but it doesn't make sense to make a stroller that can't be used for the first year. so I said if there is a minimum weight for the stroller one of my kids already meets it by herself. it shouldn't be a problem unless you have twins or the weight minimum is per seat.

If nobody replies to my mountain buggy post, I will end up putting my newborn in my lightweight stroller!

FYI the new citi mini double is car seat compatible. Thats where I'm leaning as well. One of the stores (who sells both) said the valco is a more expensive knock off of the citi mini

the new city mini isn't out yet. have you heard a release date? otherwise they probably won't be coming out until 2009 sometime.

That's fine by me... I'm due in March and don't intend to buy anything until I can see it in person, which probably means June when I go to the US b'ezrat Hashem for my nephew's Bar Mitzvah.

from what I was reading now, I think january. I'm due in 2 weeks, but I guess I won't be going on any major trips for a while anyway. or I can take my newborn in the carrier and use a single stroller. I'm thinking city mini over latitude because it's supposed to be so much lighter. I must have a car seat compatible stroller though.

I live on the first floor, so strolling around the house until the baby falls asleep will be the perfect solution for us. I wish I had that mountain buggy already, but I can’t afford the price!

I would love to be able to sell you my mbus. I got it several years ago when they were cheaper. but I'm planning on letting my baby sleep in it. plus I would never be able to replace it, if I got rid of it.

just want to let all of you that are planning on the city mini know that they are usually inaccurate when predicting dates of release. the 2008 was at least 6 months delayed from when they said it would come out....every 2 weeks they pushed it off again....so just be aware.

but other than that, I love the stroller! Very Happy

oh, and Mrs. Mommy, I had no problem putting a newborn in the stroller, so I wouldnt worry about the weight limitations that they talk about. I just took off the shoulder straps and made it into a 3 point harness instead of a 5 cuz his head was bumping into them.

if you live in bklyn, and want to come try mine out, you're more than welcome Laughing

I called the company and they told me the stroller should be out in Nov but the car seat adapter won't be until Jan. But they also told me the car seat adapter will also fit on the 08. so maybe thats the way to go

Doesn't the Valco Lat have an adjustable handlebar, which the Mini is lacking?
