My grandmother used to collect dolls, she had them on display for a while until she decided to give them all to her grand-daughters, in fact she gave me a couple. She never played with them or pretended they were real, they were just another collection which I see no problem with...I guess I should have seen this coming, they are starting to look more realistic, some are even creepy looking. They remind me of those fake babies that students use in health class.

I thought it was sad how one of the women who didn't have children mentioned that holding these dolls fulfills a void. Sad Maybe she should try some other chessed...

hey I was gonna say it sounds like a fun thing ... but they've gone a bit mad ...

I have an american girl doll - which I love ... Mr. Green b b but that is different right ...

I think I know someone who might want one ... but I should think it's a sad replacement for the real thing ...

I also know people with doll collections, but china dolls or international dolls are very different then these. Its not just that they collect them - they treat them as real babies.

My mother almost bought a reborn baby on eBay and then I told her I’ll born her one myself (coming soon). They are usually old plastic dolls, redone with mohair curls and eyelashes, and manicured nails. Most are anatomically correct though. Which grosses me out. So make sure you read well when you’re Ebaying for a reborn baby. Unless you want the whole shebang.

This woman does an amazing job! But some people take it to far to actually treat them as real babies.

Yes, I suppose these could be those creepy women who steal real babies and claim them as their own.
