Rav Elie Kahn is deceased at 51! I heard about it today and was SHOCKED!
More than 3000 people attended his funerals.

Can you tell us about him. The name sounds familiar and he must be special for so many to turn up at his levaya.

Elie (Israel Eliahu) Kahn was a French rav who made alia. He helped people make alia and also taught Bts and converts. He answered questions of a sheila site (Cheela) online, I loved to read from this site. He was the son of the chief rabbi Roger Kahn from Provins (and rebbezin Colette), both pretty well known too.

BDE. Sorry to hear of yet another special person taken from the Klal. So young, too!
