| |
I have had my mixer Dimension 2000 for a bit over 5 years now, I make challah about 8 times a year, and it seems to be going?
how long should a heavy duty mixer like that be expected to last?
I just did a search on this mixer and came up with this review: so I guess it's expected!

I think the general life expectancy is about 10 years ... although mine is fine after 20+ ... things are made junkier these days ... also you have to be careful not to overheat the motor with heavy batches of dough - if it sounds funny turn it off before you burn it out (this would go for any motor) ... then turn it back on in small time allotments ... _________________ _________________

| My Kitchen Aid Mixer is about 30 years old, and still going strong. I love it. I could write it poems and send it flowers.

In return, it whips up heavy cream for rich chocolate mousse. It makes delicious brownies. It creates fabulous cakes.
Oh, my mixer, I love it so
It'll never know
All my life is just despair
But I don't care

It seems that the new general of kitchen and electrical appliances and even cars last a lot less. _________________
