Would you give your child a name that is uncommon if you wanted very badly to name after someone very important to you?

I’ve done my research, and having an uncommon name is getting to be pretty common.

Once a child is aware that their name is different, say at the age of 4, most people around them are very used to their name and don’t give it a second thought.

As long as the name doesn’t have a bad connotation that is….

My daughter Daphne is the only chassidish Daphne I know.
All the people around her are so used to it though. When she meets someone new, there is a minute of awkwardness but then it’s just a fact.

I'd rather it be uncommon or original, though "real" and family

I know yidish names in modern circles if by modern circles either for family or because these names BH shaindel adel ethel are super common. BH! WOULD absolutely give Trandel or Yentel or Fradchen. I've only had compliments EXCEPT from anti religious or very leumi people sadly.
