So we are both correct. Thank you so much for allowing me to clarify. If you have further criticism, you can talk to my mother and both of you can take me apart and kvell.

I'm sorry that triggered you but this was unwarranted.

My dd is Ayala.

I have a neighbor who has 3 girls. Avigayil, Batsheva and Achinoam. Ironically, their son isn't David.

But maybe they’ll have three sons in law named….

How do you spell Anael?
Is it ayin, as in Hashem answered, or aleph?

LOL some of these names are so so unusual. I’m purposely looking for not super uncommon names .

But I love it. I love how many names people are coming up with. Thank you so much. I’m looking through them and looking up origins and meanings (I really do want to find one that is powerful/spiritual).

Thanks so much everyone!!!!

Maybe both? I had a girl in my class with that name and she spelled it was an aleph....

Where do you live and what circles are you in?
This would make a difference. For example, in ( open minded yeshivish) America, Ahuva, Aviva, Adina are super popular, while in Israel it's considered more old fashioned/ possibly more accepted amongst sfardim, not sure .....
Efrat, very popular in Israel, in English just sounds interesting if ykwim... The name that's most universal in my opinion is Avigail (probably not in chassidish circles though)

America. Open-minded yeshivish community but my kids go to a modern orthodox school.
I’m curious which other names would be more common in Israel. We can’t use the name Avigayil. Efrat is a pretty name but I’m hoping to find a name with a bit more powerful of a meaning.

I love Adira for its meaning but my husband has nixed it from our list.

Does anyone know if Adel is actually a Hebrew name? I’m finding a lot of German and Arabic references when I look it up online.
