as a fellow sarcastic person who is often misunderstood, I just wanted to point out that your exchange with ur friend isnt mamash sarcasm. responding with "why do you wanna know?" could be dodging a question, could be defensive, could be a lot of things, but I wouldnt really classify it as sarcastic.
