Weekend Getaway Ideas needed!

Hi!
I was assigned to write an article on the weekend getaway for a local frum publication.
I really can't mention Internet sites...got any ideas on:

choosing your destination?

packing

planning

mistakes to avoid

things you'd do again

for you and your spouse or your entire famil?

How to reduce stress, have more fun?

if its for a weekend try to choose a place thats not to far away so you don't waste the whole time driving,

if you have little kids in diapers bring extra outfits. I was on a plane and I had one change of clothing but my baby made through his pants and I had to change him, then we were stranded overnight. ew... he really needed another set of clothing!

also if you are traveling and your child can only drink cy formula or is allergic and can only drink a special formula bring a whole can with you just in case. also bring extra food and water for everyone.

if going with little kids dress them in pj's and drive at night - this way they sleep or are ready for bed as soon as you reach the hotel....

bring along MORE formula than you think you'll need.

rattles, toys for the car.....

ice for bottles....

Mistakes to avoid: If you go to a hotel must be a nice clean hotel! Don't choose something cheap, rather stay home!
