I know certain ppl buy special kits and make these fabulous decorations for their sukkahs. And they make one new one every year. I really like this idea, I have a feeling that it is more of a chasidish thing tho.
When do you start? How do you choose between which projects?

I'm really not into these things, but my mother used to some projects in the summer. I also have a friend who just bought one of those kits, and is planning on working on it over the next few weeks. If you enjoy this kind of work, it's a great way to keep busy.

Actually, they have an article in the mishpacha family first to do nice ones with your kids for a summer activity... I thought that I plan ahead ..... that;s a neat idea.....

I definitely think doing Succos projects in the summer is a good idea. When else are you going to do them? Certqanily not right before Succos.

How much to spend probably goes on a spectrum depending on a lot of things including how much you have to spend, how talented you are at making the specific decoration come out, how likely is it that the decoration will get damaged/destroyed by the weather where you live, etc.

If youa re talented and will make something that will really be beautiful and you will be able to use each year it is probably worth it to spend decent $$ on it.

Have her stick cloves into an Esrog or other fruit and then hang it form the ceiling of the sukkah.

Ooops. haTat'ti, haTat'ti, haTat'ti

Sorry, I did not realize it was from July.

These projects just came out at my Jewish bookstore (the one I frequent, not the one I own).
