I am sorry that you are seeing an ad by google, that is not appropriate. I am even more sorry if your husband saw an untznius ad. We have no control over the ads that google decides to place in its ad spots. We obviously do not wish to have inappropriate ads showing on imamother, so we would appreciate it if you could help us remove the bad ads one by one, as you see them. Unfortunately we dont have the ability to screen any ads before they appear.

If you do see an ad that is inappropriate, Please right click on the ad, and:
If you use Internet explorer, then click on copy short cut.
If you use Mozilla or Firefox, then click on copy link location.
Then: paste the url into a pm or email and send it to admin. We will block the website from advertising on Imamother, through google, ever again.

We rely on google ads to make enough money to make running imamother worth our time. If we would remove google's ads, we would not be able to continue running imamother. Since you are reading this message you obviously enjoy Imamother and care enough about it, that you wouldn't want to see our biggest source of revenue dry up.

Please dont install an adblocker.
You enjoy Imamother and get a lot from it, all we ask for in return is to allow google to count your page views as impressions of their ads. Each time you view another page, we get paid for that impresssion. Even if you didnt even notice the ad, or care to look at it, we still get paid for the impression. (not much. but .01 pennies add up) Those of you who have an adblocker installed are basically only taking from us and not giving anything back. (we dont get paid for posts, we get paid for impressions.) We stopped asking for donations once our google revenue grew large enough to make it worth it.
Would you be willing to pay for an (optional) premium membership to Imamother that would remove all ads for you? or would you like to let the google ads pay for you?

I am very nervous that if more women install adblockers, our google revenue will decrease. That would be really sad, to have our own valued members shoot us in the leg.
You know that we have worked really hard to make sure that your imamother browsing experience should run smoothly. We once tried having a new company serve us some ads. but when they messed up and served up those ad pages in betweeen pages of imamother, we ended up removing the entire company's ads, just so that your veiwing experience should be smooth, and as non-annoying as possible.

I don't block anything. I don't look if I don't want to look. The truth is, even if it wouldn't hurt the site, I wouldn't install adblock. First of all, some of the ads interest me, so why not check them out through the site? Second of all (and this is a biggie), I'm way too technically inept to ever block anything. If the ads started to jump out of the computer and grab my credit card off the table, I wouldn't know how to do anything about it.

The ads don't bother me one bit. I look at the ones I want to, and skip the ones I don't.

But, if it comes to it, I would have no problem paying a membership to keep the site going. This is a wonderful place to hang out, and it's worth the money.

Yael, has something changed with Google ads? I was under the impression (no pun intended) that sites with Google ads get paid when people CLICK on the ads, not when an ad just shows up.

I'm interested to know if you have set things up with certain (new?) options that allow you to get paid per impression.

I only adblock specific ads which aren't going to be ads I'm going to be clicking on anyway. In general, my window is blinking and flickering with lots of ads. And every so often I try to click on them as well. My problem is that I tend to filter them out of my consciousness after awhile.

No adblocking here.
Question - if you get $ for every view meaning every page, would it help (as I keep Imamother open on my desktop as I work many times during the day) if those of us who do it keep going into certain pages? Or do the ads change no matter what?

They only get paid when a page is refreshed. So, it doesn't matter if your computer is on all day if you're not refreshing pages.

Thanks, got it. So I will make sure to go in every time I go to do something on the computer and change pages even if I don't have time to look at what is there at that moment.
