No. She’ll need the blood thinners after the Covid shot not instead of it.

How do you extrapolate that based on her medical history that she shared here, doc?

So she should do both, the vaccine and daily blood thinners?

If she doesn’t need the daily blood thinners with the shot then she doesn’t need them without it.
What she needs is a new doctor asap because something here doesn’t add up. OP sees that and this is why she posted.

Could it be that when her body reacts to Covid, she gets blood clots?
One doctor is telling her she should attempt to avoid getting sick from Covid with vaccines, and the other is telling her that Covid isn't avoidable, so she should take blood thinners to deter the inevitable blood clots.
What would you choose?

Yes it’s possible, but the Covid vaccine doesn’t guarantee that she will not get Covid.
In addition, the vaccine causes blood clots. How is it safe for someone with a blood clot disorder to take it?
Also it makes a lot of sense that both Covid vaccine and Covid cause blood clots.
Why not just treat the blood clot disorder independently?

So far she hasn't reacted to the vaccine - but she has reacted to Covid.
Sounds like you're team hematologist - unless you don't think that Covid can trigger blood clots.

That is what the hematologist is suggesting.

Yes I’m no doctor but I would treat the blood clot disorder independently at this point just based on logic.
Definitely go to some more experts and see if there is a clear consensus about it.

independent of what?
Its a valid approach if you don't think that vaccines are effective/are harmful... however - long term blood thinners use isn't desirable either.

She already has the blood clot disorder so that is what she’s working with.
If the doctor is telling her to rely on a shot that isn’t reliable (meaning it doesn’t always prevent Covid), this means if she does get Covid, it isn’t that serious. Because she could get Covid. If it’s not dangerous to get Covid, don’t do blood thinners and don’t do the shot.
If she takes the shot and gets Covid (which happens often) ,and she’s not on the blood thinners, then what? (A question for her doctor)
If she needs the blood thinners in case she gets Covid, then she needs them anyway.
The blood thinners aren’t good but she may need to treat the condition that she already has.

OP has a blood clot disorder
And her doctor recommends taking a vaccine that
Everyone admits can cause blood clots???
Insanity!
OP, run, don't walk, away from that doctor!

she knows what happens if she gets Covid and isn't on blood thinners, clearly. Hence the need to be proactive.

Regarding blood thinners - we should probably all be taking aspirin since Covid and the shots cause clots. Do your own research.
If you don't want meds, Nattokinase is what lots of doctors are recommending and Lumbrokinase is supposed to be even better but it's not kosher.
I am not even going to voice an opinion on taking a vaccine every 3 months.
I can't hold it in - it's a sure fire way to decimate your immune system. How can anyone consider taking even one more "vaccine" after hearing about all the people that were injured? If you've been ok with 4 shots, consider yourself very lucky, thank Hashem and stop playing Russian Roulette. Better off building up your immune system in healthy ways.
And if you are worried about blood clots, go for the enzymes I mentioned. I hear that Lumbrokinase actually takes apart those thick, white, fibrous clots that were found in the blood of the vaccinated during autopsies. FYI Lumbrokinase is made from earthworms. Nattokinase is kosher but takes longer to work.
Here is a link to the one I heard is recommended: https://il.iherb.com/pr/doctor...../9201
Here is the Nattokinase I use: https://il.iherb.com/pr/enzyme...../3606

Be proactive and do something that makes sense like treating a blood clot disorder with a blood clot disorder treatment.
A Covid shot doesn’t treat a blood clot disorder. It causes one.
You don’t need to be a doctor to figure this stuff out.

Wear a better mask. Prevention is best.
As for the vaccine, there's still not enough research for anyone to really know, regardless of how expert they are. We're only 3 years in.

The doctor didn't suggest a vaccine to treat a blood clot disorder.
What do you think the medical treatment for blood clot disorders is?
You seem to be willfully ignoring the fact that OP gets really ill from Covid.

And you seem to be ignoring the fact that taking boosters is a segula for getting covid. At the very least it doesn't prevent transmission!!!!!! At worst it causes blood clots, heart issues, neuroloical damage, autoimmune disorders snd worse.

OP was in the ICU before she got a Covid shot.
I'm not advocating for the Covid shot - but screaming and yelling that it causes blood clots, without acknowledging that Covid does as well is absurd.
