I have spoken to Debby about her classes and am trying to decide if I should take them or not. I'm not sure makeup is my 'calling' so to speak, however I feel that it is something I would very much enjoy doing. Her official price for the summer course is $2350, however I've heard that you end up spending more on buying your own supplies. Has anybody been to her, would you recommend the classes, is it worth the money?? Please help, I'm trying to decide and need to let her know asap as the classes start pretty soon.

I was actually inquiring myself of joining her course. But I heard the price and changed my mind. Too expensive for now...

What does she offer for that money? How long is the course? What will you learn? Is it located near you or will you have to travel?

Why not look into classes at a local/community college?

Being that you're probably familiar with the people in this profession, who in Brooklyn would you recommend for a twenties girl wanting makeup instruction (natural look) for herself (not to become a professional)?

You should go to a department store to the bobbi brown counter buy some make up there and the make up artists will give you a great lesson

thank you all for your response, and I actually have a friend that went to her and was quite satisfied. I've tried checking online for schools that do give such courses, but whatever I found charged about $10,000 in tuition...and regarding getting a Bobbi Brown rep to give me a lesson, I don't just want this for myself, I want to be a makeup artist.

Can you give some more info on this? How much do they charge...do they have evening/summer classes? I don't just want lessons on how to apply makeup on myself, do they teach you how to be a makeup artist?
