My 3 yr old is having a lot of trouble falling asleep at night.
I've tried the basic things, calming her down before it's time to go to sleep. I stay in the room with her for 20 min. , the tape, the no tape on, books etc. She can lie in bed for more than 1 hr, without falling asleep.
Anything to do? Is there vitamins, or medicine that has worked?

Call your local pharmacy or your pediatrician and ask about Valarium. It's natural not a drug. Maybe in combination with st johns wort. YOu'd have to ask for anounts too. I haven't yet tried this but I was told about it.
Let us know how it works if and when you try it!

I have similar problem with my dd, almost 2 yo.
However I am not looking for vitamins to give her.
Should I be concerned if I put her to bed at 6pm, when she is clearly very tired, but she only falls asleep about 2 hours later?

| Maybe the child gets distracted by outside noises? Did you try a noise machine or a fan that drowns out most of the usual sounds?

| does she still take naps? when my dd took naps, even short ones during the day it would keep her up at night. so I got rid of them. she's exhausted during the day , but she's out within 5 minutes when she goes to sleep at night!
