About what age did your baby start sleeping thru the night?

Mine started around 7-9 months.

Now, I have a 5 month old and I don't expect him to sleep through the night yet, but he's been waking up so many times and doesn't go back to sleep very nicely. He doesn't sleep well during the day. There's nothing wrong with him that the dr saw b"h. Now, he fell asleep at 8, but I'm going to wake him up around 9:30-10, or else he'll be up around 5, 6.

my oldest was bottle-fed and started sleeping through the night at 8 months...then started waking around 2 years.

my younger one was breastfed and never really slept through the night. but we co-sleep so I didn't notice so much either.

my kids from 7-10 months. it made a differance when I moved my kids out of the room, and they also ate 4 bottles and food during the day.

ds wasn't through the night (which I consider b/w 7-9 hours straight) until over a year and we had to encourage (read train) him to do that.

dd started at about 8 weeks and for the most part has been really good ever since (KA"H)

my first did from 3.5 months! B"H!!

My other dd just started leeping throught the night at about 8 months--finally! B"H

Once they start eating a significant amount of food, in addition to nursing. Formula fed babies sleep through the night at an earlier age, in general.

Abt 2 1/2 - 3 months thanks to the Baby Whisperer.

Of course during teething/jetlag times (we live in Israel and traveled a few times this yr) she was up at night.

both BF and accomplished without training (B"H, ka"h, hodu l'hashem ki tov, ki lolam chasdo!):

dd - 9mos
ds - 6mos

Like shabri said, this goes out the window if they are sick or teething. Razz

At 8 weeks he was doing eight hours...At 11 weeks he was doing 10 hours...
And we did NO sleep training at all. He was in his own room since he was 2 weeks old and he was only breastfed--he completely scheduled himself--he'd eat a TON during the day and almost none at night...

my son is 20 months and still doesn't sleep through the night.

with my sons, they both slept the night at an early age, I forgot- like 5-6 months. with my daughter she only started sleeping the whole night when she was 9 months.

Over two years for the first, and by that time it didn't make a difference as when the next one was born, I told her to keep her sibling busy because I needed sleep...let them kill each other for all I cared, I needed SLEEP!!!!

This one stopped morning naps at 6 weeks and afternoon naps at 3 months. Can you imagine what it was like? And she got up every three hours to eat at night and her total night sleep was around 7 hours...even the doctors didn't believe this for a three month old...it was a HORROR...and we refused to take her into our bed because she loved to play (with my long hair, winding it around her throat, with the pillows, anything she could get her dirty little paws into...) and at least one of us needed sleep...Finally she learned to climb out of her crib at about seven months (she was a real little monkey) and we knew we were in trouble...that's when we said we need another one to keep her occupied...and it did...

DS: 6 mos (2.5 mo preterm)
DD: 3-4 mos

Mine were formula fed and I did not cosleep after the first couple weeks. Don't know if that made a difference, but mentioned it anyways to qualify the stats.

First...maybe 13-14 months? I can't remember so well.
Second...more like 15-16 months.

But co-sleeping definitely made it easier, and since they were newborns they understood night is for sleeping unless they were hungry, so on most nights I didn't have to do much other than nurse half sleeping Wink
