Vent about cleaning help-very very angry

So my cleaning lady didn't show up today..... I pay a cleaning girl all year round, and now, the most important time some @&%(@*%&(* paid her a dollar more than me - so that she can get her for the day.... Shooting Arrow

I feel for you , happyone. This has happened to me also and when it did, it caused a complete freak-panic attack. Kind've makes it hard to be happy, doesn't it Shocked

I hope she at least called you and didn't just not show up because then you should fire her. I feel for you though. Not the same thing, I know, but I hate when my cleaning lady doesn't come on Mondays, the messiest day.

man, I really feel for you. the worst thing is when your expecting her to come the next day so you let things fly knowing there will be someone the next day and then she doesnt turn up....

I feel for you. The same thing happened to me today, she told me she was coming today and never showed up. I tried to track her down but all of a sudden she isn't answering her cell phone, funny bec by my house she talks all the time on it. Well she just called and said not to worry she can come all day Monday- I was planning on already being pesachdig by sunday night, guess my plans have changed. Plus monday I will have all of the kids home, I'll figure something out.

We had a really annoying experience with our old cleaning woman. She cleaned for this other family, a frum family we didn't know. They constantly asked us for favors -- to switch times with us, give them our time because they were having guests, etc. We always said yes, to be nice. Then, when Pesach was coming around and we needed a few extra hours (they had her four days a week and we had her for a half day every two weeks) because we didn't have her at all during the cleaning time before, they said no, they really needed her the whole time. So no Pesach help for us. The cleaning woman wanted to help us, but they were unyielding.

She's no longer our cleaning woman (they wanted, and got, our time slot), but I still don't like them. I've never met them, but someday I will, I just know it. And when I do, I'll tell them that she told me all sorts of disgusting things about how they take care of themselves and their home.

Gee, I guess I'm still annoyed about this. I got angry just typing.

The happy ending is that I love our new cleaning woman even more, and next week she's giving us a full day for Pesach cleaning and doesn't mind spending the day working with my husband, who turns into the Pesach Monster.

its a terrible, ridiculous thing to 'steal' someone else's cleanignn woman by racking up the price. there is no justification for that.

happyone, dont know hwere you live but tehre is a choice of mexican woman at the willy 'cleaning lady corner', and they are pretty good!

arrrrgh, same thing happened to me today!!!!
someone fired my cleaning lady, so I had her for better days and hours, and today she went back to them, they decided to take her back.

must breathe, must breathe, must go nurse the baby......

arghhhhhhhhhhhh.

mama bear is right. I would never sleep knowing I stole someones lady from her even if im desperate, thats something I would never ever do, I would rather stay up half a night scrubbing walls then doing that
