my dd (9 months) was sitting near me while I was typing and she was also enjoying pressing buttons. before I knew it, she pulled off a ctl button (at least there's another one), but I'm wondering if there's a way to fix it? I didn't realize she could do it.

The exact same thing happened to my dell laptop. If you still have all the pieces then it can be put together (im almost positive) otherwise if it bothers you, you would need to order a new keyboard from the manufacturer. If you are still under warranty it should be covered.
