We're in Israel for a few weeks and my 13 month old is finally sleeping normal hours...but in my bed! When I put him in the crib where we're staying, he'd cry....At home I'd leave him, but in someone else's home w/ their kids sleeping, I couldn't...so he's been in my bed...I transfer him to the crib afterward but he's been waking up once a night (4ish) and I nurse him back to sleep.
I dread returning back to the US and having to let him cry it out again (I did it when he was 10 1/2 months old)... any tips on an easy transition back to his crib??

I was wondering where you had disappeared to! Enjoy your trip. Sorry that I don't have any advice for you.

No I'm afraid you have to let him cry it out. And don't give in otherwise he will think your bed at home is also acceptable to sleep in.

well, as it turned out, when we returned he had croup and was so off schedule, so I let him sleep in my bed the first few nights. Then when he was feeling better, I put him in his crib for a nap and he cried almost 1 1/2 hours! Since then, though (a few days), B"H he's been going to sleep nicer - bli anyin hora!

I have the same problem, we were away for a couple of weeks and my baby is TOTALLY off schedule. She take one nap for an hour and a half and doesn't sleep through the night anymore. I'm too tired to just let her cry through the night but I'm thinking that I'll let her do that tonight.
Any ideas?

just as you said...you gotta just let her cry it out (assuming she's an "older" baby...I would say over 6/8 months old). good luck! (also, if she's in your room, make sure she's out for the night, or you won't be able to keep to it)
