| I'm not sure which store I bought them in. WWYD? The whole box is nauseatingly white from old age.

On the back of the Shoprite chocolate chips it says. "A gray-white film may form on chocolate as a result of exposure to too much heat or moisture. This does not indicate spoilage."
Maybe it's the same thing?

| I've bought it other times and they were 100% BROWN. Choc chips might be different bec. they're pure chocolate.

Nope, not the ones I have.
"Ingredients: sugar, chocolate liquor, cocoa butter, soy lecithin, vanilla."
If you aren't going to eat them and don't know where you bought them from, throw them out. Or call up the company and tell them what's bothering you. There isn't much else you can do.
