Better they should say use one less package of disposable cups, one less box of single-serve packages of anything, plant one tree, make one less automobile trip, turn down the thermostat one degree in winter, up one degree in summer, drink one less cup of coffee, buy one less piece of furniture made from endangered tropical woods, take one less hot shower, use one less electrical appliance, make one less unnecessary photocopy, use one less roll of aluminum foil, run your computer one less hour, and, for the morons who made that suggestion about the chanuka candles--make one less carbon-dioxide-producing speech.

Gee, I wonder why they didn't mention burning one less Xmas light?

The Jerusalem post reported that there is a new environmentalist campaign to "SAVE THE EARTH" by reducing carbon dioxide emissions caused by the chanukah candles. So they are asking every Jew to light 1 less candle on chanukah!!!!!!

I have a better idea that is MUCH better for the environment.

HOW ABOUT 1 DAY A WEEK ON WHICH YOU CAN'T DRIVE, TURN ELECTRICAL THINGS ON OR OFF, USE COMPUTERS, IPODS, TV'S, etc.

A DAY OF VASTLY REDUCED CARBON DIOXIDE EMISSIONS!!!!!

At least there are some ppl who normally wouldn't light that were encouraged to light because of this idiocy.

In my family we are proudly letting our 3 1/2 and 1 1/2 year old boys light their own menoras. **GASP**
