DS is ready for a convertible carseat. From a quick look on babiesrus.com, this looks like a good carseat that's reasonably priced.

I just wanted to get other opinions here. Do you have it or know someone that has it? What are the pros and cons? Do you recommend it?

I heard the Graco Safeseat 2 is very comfortable but it's only forward facing, so that's out of the question.

Also, if anyone knows of any good deals right now on the Britax, I'm all ears!

TIA

I have this in my mother's car and it's not as soft or comfy feeling as the britax. but they all pass the same safety tests so unless you have the money to spare, it doesn't make sense to but a much more expensive seat imo.

that said, I'm not sure what consitutes a good deal on the britax, but the roundabout is $189 on tinyride.com and I have a code for 10% off as well (TRL831)

afaik, the roundabout has rated the safest among the britax, but it also only goes up to 40 lbs. but I have 2 of them and love the seat.

I would strongly advise going to a store and testing the harness adjusting -- especially if it's tight against the seat.

I have the Evenflo Triumph, and it was hard to adjust (I have only installed it rear facing). We recently got a minivan, and now it's basically impossible to get to the harness adjuster!

My m-i-l is a car seat installer, and recommended this:
Evenflo Triumph round

5-35# rear
up to 50# with harness costs ~ $80.00
