Today I made this cake. It was a last minute order for a Bar Mitzvah and the people were very particular about how they wanted it. Most people in my town place general orders and trust my taste. This time, they wanted more than the ordinary.

Well, I tripped and fell as I walked up my steps and the cake broke. I salvaged the top two tiers somehow, but the whole thing just wasn't it. It was a waste of a day for me, and a big disappointment for them Sad

I'm Sorry. The cake does look really beutiful. how'd you make the chocolate bottem of the tefiling to fold like that?

I can't see it either. In fact, there are a lot of pictures posted here that I can't see. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

That is so disappointing...I am so sorry for you. Looks like you put in a lot of work and time in that cake. It's so pretty!!

Thanks to all for your compliments and hugs. BH, I got over it by now. The people were more upset than I was, I think. I came into the hall with my digital camera and showed her the cake. She asked, "so where is it?" and I said "I tripped over my stairs with it." She was speechless! That already made me feel better. BH, for me it was just the time, effort and ingredients. For her it was an important component of a Simcha she planned for ages (and for some reason ordered only a day before).

oh I feel for you! that is my biggest fear when I transport my cakes.
I always wondered what I would do. after all its a day's work oy.
but at least you got a pic before.
BTW may I ask what you charge for sucha a creation?
