Does anyone have any good travel websites for buying airline tickets? I'd like to fly (domestically - from NY to LA) for a family simcha. I've already tried -
flysong.com
travelocity.com
cheap tickets.com
jetblue.com
priceline.com
I need a late night flight but at a decent price. Any ideas?
thanx

This is what I do for my family. Family that I dont hear from a while I know what they want when they call.

Expedia.com
Orbitz.com
sidestep.com - I usually find really cheap tickets using this site
fly4less.com
spirit.com
cheapfares.com
easyjet.com

You know your children are growing up when they stop asking you where they came from and refuse to tell you where they are going

Jetblue usually has the best prices - you can leave from JFK or LGA and you have a few choices in your arrival airport: Ontario, Long Beach or Burbank. They are all within driving distance from the city. Unless - you are not staying in the LA area.
Sometimes travel agents are the best - you never know. Do all travel usually has some good deals.
Good luck.

HOTWIRE!!!

I love Hotwire. Even though it says no changes, standbys, upgrades, etc., some airlines (United I know for sure) will let you fly standby.

Southwest.com is also good sometimes, you may be able to fly cheap from Islip.

Orbitz and hotwire are the same thing. Orbitz will be a couple dollars more than hotwire. the difference between them both is Hotwire only gives you the times of flying after you purchase the ticket and orbitz gives you the timing before purchasing the ticket.

actually, Hotwire now gives u the option to choose ur flight by knowing all info, incl. flight times. It literally costs only a couple $$ more then if you book not knowing the flight times. I also love hotwire I booked a package deal with them 2 years ago to Miami. Hotel+airfare for 2 for 7 days $1000 incl. taxes and fees. We stayed at the 4 star Sheraton Bal Harbor Beach Resort. we also booked hotels with them for summer weekends at like $50 /night.

Buba123, I've never flown domestic but I've had good experience with expedia and travelocity, I like expedia better, I would never do priceline, I think it's the silliest thing ever.

I'm going to England in November and I'm already checking prices, but dh and I are not very pleased with the prices for that time of year. Gotta start saving up.
$430.00 for one person.
Plus all other expenses, ride to airport, dress.

ha! really?!
I recently booked tickets to go soon-ish to uk. British airways was asking $1400 and continental $1200
I finally booked on www.vayama.com (best cheap flights!), aer lingus via dublin, for $940
(these prices were including infant on lap).

My friend booked a ticket to israel at the same time....for less than my ticket!!!!
