Does anyone have a recipe for a salad dressing that can be eaten on Rosh Hashana (not too bitter)

we don't eat vinegar rosh hashono.
even the chrain and sourpickles made by companies like tuv tam or flaum don't contain vinegar

you know, it's kind of funny: I have three dressings that I use a lot.

1. dill dip purchased from the butcher store
2. a sweet homemade dressing which uses rice vinegar
3. my fave, olive oil & lemon with a few spices

hope that gives you an idea. you can ask if you want more details, but I don't know how creative these are Smile

yeah sure. I use it a lot on my spinach salad with mango, red onion, avocado or something akin to that...

the only thing is it has rice vinegar (but rice vinegar is light and sweetish, not bitter or whatever so I dunno how it falls in with the minhagim)

the dressing is: olive oil, a tablespoon (or a little less) of sugar, a sprinkling of salt to balance the sugar, and some rice vinager mixed in. makes it sweet but tangy. I had to experiment to get the right taste, but people usually like it for the contrast.
