Apartment needed emergenecy in Crown Heights

I got this email from a friend today..

please pass it on to as many ppl as you can

Apartment DESPERATELY Needed for Family who were victims of a fire.

Friends of ours were victims of a fire on Tisha B'Av. They are a family with four small children, the oldest is only five. They lost everything in the fire. They DESPERATELY need a new apartment - two or three bedrooms in Crown Heights. They have been staying in a temporary space until now and must be out by THIS SUNDAY. Please, if you know of an apartment, or know of someone who might know of an apartment, please email me to

I know some of you who are getting this don't live in Crown Heights, but I figure networking works and maybe you know someone who knows someone...

WOW purple rox that is awsome to write this.

This is a wonderful family. They have really been devastated by this tragedy especially the children because they witnessed the fire and they had only lived in the new apartment for less than a week when this happened. Ahavas Chesed has been amazing in helping them and stepped in right away.

Please support this organization or send what you can to help them. The boy is 5 and the three girls are 4,3 and almost 1.

They had just moved into their new apt and a box fell on the stove late one night and burned from the pilot light.

there are still ovens with pilots - electric starters are safer ...

my stove also has a gas pilot and an electric starter for the oven. which means the gas is always on and coming through which means we are paying for the gas pilot 24 hours.
