My daughter just got red permanent marker on my paren'ts linen. How do I get this out. I really feel bad, I would feel better if it was mine. Does any one know how to get permanent marker off of linen, please help me. Thanks.

Sorry but for about 3 years, until I dumped the linen, I had a line of ...red permanent marker on my quilt cover.

I never tried anything, it was a small line, but try paint thinner. It may take off the color, although I did it on my denim skirt yesterday to get rid of paint marker & it was fine.

Melaleuca makes something called "Sol-u-mel". It takes permanent marker of off tiles, walls etc. very easily. Maybe it will work on linen. It is definitely worth a try.

soak it in regular rubbing alcohol. It will look like its spreading but then when you was it it will come out you might have to do repeat treatment.

They are not porous like material such as linen. Why not dye it a red color sold anywhere where laundry detergent is sold. It's called rit I believe.

Try rubbing it really hard with baby/fresh wipes...
I find that gets out even some stains I would never expect.
