I put DD in warm sweat pants with a skirt over it, in the winter. In fact, that's what I wear, too. No need to freeze.

I put my little girls in skirts and very thick tights. They are (imo, and I've tried both myself) just as comfortable as leggings. In fact I had to buy my dd a pair of leggings recently for P.E and they were made of identical material to her tights.

It doesn't get too hot here in the summer so they are fine all year round, but if they are too hot, I let them wear knee length socks instead.

There are also thigh-high tights, and over-the-knee socks. So many options. Smile

Thigh highs on a preschooler? Pants/leggings on a preschooler make the most sense to me whether under a skirt or not, since otherwise while they play their underwear can end up showing.

What's the basis for total tznius from age 3?
