I just got an invitation / summons to a party on Wednesday and was asked to bring something dairy. I have a package of lettuce I need to use up and am looking for a yogurt based dressing or something else dairy like.

These 2 shredded cheese salads are great.

Also the ranch dip from KBD is very good. You can use it as a dressing as well, or it can inspire you to do something similar.
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 1/2 tsp vinegar
fresh or dried parsley
fresh or dried dill
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp kosher salt (or more to taste)
1/4 tsp coarse black pepper

Can I substitute yogurt or leben for the sour cream? I forgot to buy it.

You can use unflavored yogurt instead of sour cream.
For a parve version, just use more mayo.
