I work in a yeshiva and during the zman I get food from them as does dh (its usually pretty good.)
Now its bein hazmanim and im trying to figure out what to have for lunch.
I am trying to avoid sandwiches daily. to many carbs and boring.
It can be something that can be warmed or cold. I can eat here or go home and eat with DH (I live right nearby)
here are my picky issues tho...
no cheese.
no soups.
no fleish.
nothing that takes to much time to prepare right then (can be made in advance and rewarmed or eaten cold/room temp)
salads are ok, but need something a bit more filling in addition.
im pregnant if that makes a diff.
so what else can I have??
TIA

I sometimes eat:
yogurt with fruit, can add chopped nuts or cereal/granola to mix in
cereal with milk
hard boiled eggs
instant oatmeal (if you have hot water at work)
green salad with a scoop of tuna/egg/salmon salad on top
baba ghanoush, tomato eggplant spread or any other dip with pretzel crisps (see http://www.snacksforlife.com/I.....B.JPG)
cold quinoa with some combination of diced avocado/cucumber/fake crab/seaweed mixed in, soy sauce optional

Pasta salad,
tuna salad served in a half of a pepper( I put cheese on top and broil),
Omellettes,
Tortilla with beans, cheese, rice and salsa- wrap in a burrito,
Stir fry with rice and tofu( make a Chinese peanut sauce with PB, soy sauce, oil to loosen it)

What does the yeshiva make that you usually eat? Can you make the same thing?

Pita falafel with salad and the works. A good protein, needs no mayo and pretty much filling too. U can make yourself fruit smoothies for a quick and filling boost.
