I like hirsch eyes. It is between N and O. in someone's basement. I thought he had nice frames and good prices. I don't have the number offhand, though.

love this store supper cheap a whole wall of $40 complete pairs its on 9 ave and 49 7182838639. they accept most insurances. if you don't find there you are right next to minzer 47 (or 49) 9 and 10.

Zennioptical.com has VERY cheap glasses. Just get a prescription w/your regular optometrist and ask them to also measure your pupil distance.

I've had luck with zennioptical but wouldn't use them for a first pair of glasses or for kids.

I just don't think it's a good idea to order glasses online without being fitted first and deciding which style you like (you can't return the glasses). Kind of like how I order my kids shoes online but not after getting them measured in a store to ensure accurate size.
