I'd like to cook my cholent in the crockpot but I'm unsure of a few things -
It needs to be fully cooked before Shabbos, so after it's fully cooked, right before Shabbos, can I set it on it's own internal timer to a low ssetting, and then when the timeer goes off it immediately swithces to a "keep warm" setting stays on that setting for 2 hrs. and then it turns off -
just wondering what people do - I understand people line the metal part with aluminum foil - why? is it so you can halachically take out the pot part?
I'm sorry, I'm just so confused and I don't want to be "over" on any aveiros - but wanted to ask amothers because you know the practicalities too
