What brand is the hazelnut crunch? I've never seen it in stores here.

And, FYI, I can make the pareve ice cream recipe without separated eggs in about the time than I can buy a container of (worse tasting and much more expensive) pareve ice cream.

But, I realize store bought might just be simpler in some cases.

Ladies, can you post recipes? I live with my mom and just found out that she's going away first days Wink

Erma of 3, we might have similar dishes on our table. You have delicious taste!

Thanks!! Honestly, I just look in all the mags and I see which recipes look not too hard and not too long to make and don't have funky ingredients :-)

It's from Baker's Choice. We have some in the cabinet and it's delicious.

As for the ice cream, with a newborn, everything in the kitchen just seems overwhelming.

Here's the recipe

http://imamother.com/forum/vie.....alami

I use a 16 oz. salami, halve the glaze amounts, don't bother to boil it together, place the salami in a snug 2 lb. loaf pan, make diagonal slits on top salami, pour glaze over it, and bake uncovered for just over an hour. No need to baste with the sauce this way either.

3/4 cup apricot jam
6 Tbsp mayo
3 Tbsp mustard
3 Tbsp honey
1 1/2 tsp rice vinegar
dash salt

I can fully understand your situation.

Thanks for the info on the hazelnut crunch -- my local store carries a big selection of Baker's Choice stuff, but I've noticed that. I'll look for it next time.

trader joes makes delicous parve ice cream for not much more than the cost of ingredients for homemade. its so good my husband prefers it to the chalav yisroel milchig ice cream. I stopped making my own and just use it as a base for whatever I need.
