What exactly is the name of the chocolate, brand and type etc.

Is it milchig? Cause the list Sarahd posted doesnt have milchigs on it.

If you write down all the details I can look it up for you. A pic would be even better.

Haha, ok, well, I trust you!

I just find the list is sometimes so confusing. Sometimes you need to look up the name of the product and not the brandname and other times not. That's why I thought if she really wants to know she should post a pic so we can see what it is.

You are, for the things that the list says so.
The list says so means the rabbanim who wrote the list say so.

The list doesnt say anything about going through the ingredients for chocolate, sorry.

There's only one shared hechsher, shared by Agudas Achim and IRG.

How do I know if something from Switzerland is kosher? is there a symbol to look for on the package or is there a list? if there's a list, does someone have the list who can help me out?
thanks

You can PM me for details! But someone has already mentioned the www.irgz.ch list, which includes two most popular supermarkets and raw products and breads (pas yisroel) you can find there. Where in Switzerland are you going to be? There are kosher stores for meat, dairy and other necessities. Fruit and vegetables are all OK, only beware those from EY for the maaser without brocho.

So don't. I'm just saying to follow the list, whatever it says.

R_ch, there are many foreign hechsherim that you can find in Switzerland.

I'm sorry, it's wrong. There are two kehilas who make the kosher lists. IRG is the one keeping cholov yisroel and would never allow dairy from the goish stores. Your husband meant the lenient community which can be of interest to only those not holding onto ch.y.

There are kosher lists from other cities besides Zurich, you know.

Yes of course but all of them are identical, because checked and made by R.Widder Laughing And honestly, none of generally Swiss made dairy products would be cholov yisroel, I was talking about that.
