Any free or very cheap indoor activities for teens and down?

I'm asking for the winter. I'm thinking of coming in January with all my kids for a month, but I would need to keep them busy once in awhile. Going to the park is not really an option in the winter. I want free or cheap because the tickets itself are so expensive. We probably won't end up going, but I want to know if it's an option with things to do. TIA

You can take them skating in bryant park just borrow skates from someone it's free just bring a lock it costs money if you rent so make sure to borrow skates, they also have a carousel for $1 and juggling. By time square you can take pictures with all the Disney characters that roam around the streets -that is by donation.

You should call up the Sony Museam at least 2 weeks in advance and book tickets for that it's free as well.

There is the New York Public Library it has a room with Winny the Pooh stuff for little kids that's alot of fun and they also have free library tours just google new york public library.

The museam of natural history is by donation only. The bronx zoo is free on Wednesday.

I know some of the stuff is outdoors but just bundle up it's lots of fun!
