| |
| I dont want to throw out my leftover potato kugel from shabbos. Any ideas what I can do with it? to recycle for a sidedish? I was thinking of frying an onion and cubing the kugel to small cubes. and just getting it crispy...any ideas? can anyone suggest anything? maybe mashing it up and making something out of it? I definitely want it to be eaten and my kids and husband should NOT be disgusted by it...

What's the problem? it's only Monday.
In my house potato kugel gets gobbled Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. No need to disguise it!

I normally crumble it add some fried onions and eggs and serve it as a scramble with veggie sausages , great lunch! _________________

| cook it under chicken or meat loaf. it gets the flavor from the meat and doesn't taste old anymore.

That's what I do. I don't make potato kugel often because my kids don't love it, but they like it in the chulent.

| Cut it into slices (medium width) and then either fry on each side to a crisp or as someone else suggested, stick it into the George Foreman. They taste like potato latkes, Yum!

I, as well, freeze it and put it into next week's chulent. It gets eaten up all the time. I'd freeze it on Motzei Shabbos, though. Wouldn't wait too long. _________________ Remember to ALWAYS treat each other with dignity and respect; our time on Earth is fleeting.

THANX ALL OF YOU FOR YOUR QUICK RESPONSE. I guess this time I'll slice it and grill it. But next time I guess I would freeze it M Shabbos and drop it into the chulent next week. Thanx.
