As someone who went through several rounds of IUI, this seems improbable to put it mildly. There is no way the sperm could survive being transported out of jail, taken thru a checkpoint (undiscovered), washed, cleaned, gender separated and then be enough for three tries of IUI. Generally they insert the whole sample, and even in the best US clinics the chances of this gender selection process are 60-70%. Some may call me a cynic, but I am not sure I would put as much faith in a West bank fertility clinic.
This articles says he doesnt have any family, whereas an Arabic news site I saw last night claims the wife presented the sperm infront of members of his family as well, and that the Dr said 'some of the sample' wasnt viable but the part that was he divided into five and froze. How much sperm did this guy have exactly that you can discard part of a sample (another thing I am not sure is possible) and of course discard all female sperm and have enough left for five tries?? It seems completely absurd.

This make me think that either she used another mans sperm or had an affair (not like anyone is going to DNA test the kid) or that her husband froze sperm before he was arrested? It also seems like she was married at possible an age through 12-14, since she is 32 now, hasn't seen her husband for fifteen years and at that point had an 18 month old. Ewwwwwww.

In good news, for the mother, at least:
a) The hospital she is in doesn't exactly look primitive.
b) her husband will probably never know she has another child.
c) I am sure her son will 'grow up' to be another hate-filled little boy who can't see further infront of him than the next Israeli/Jew he wants to kill.

I just think it is a pretty big ask. One of my friends was working in a detention center in Israel and he told us that basically PA prisoners come in and are termed 'skateboarders' because they are totally covered from head to toe and wrapped in chains- he also said for the most part they are literally never seen again.

We would have to assume the guy had enough time to masturbate into a cup, handed it off to a prison guard, who then passed it through to (presumably) someone else to take from Hof Hasharon to Nablus- a journey which at the best of times takes 50 mins (according to google maps) and this does not account for time taken to go through a checkpoint etc. Since sperm can realistically only live for maybe a few hours outside the body this just seems extremely hightech operation for a guy under extremely heavy security and pretty far-fetched. Again, not to mention that to impregnante someone with a tiny sperm sample divided into five and frozen and defrosted is just, IMVHO, pretty unlikely, especially when you consider they had removed all the female sperm as well.

Clearly the baby will never be subject to DNA testing, nor do we even know if the prisoner is still alive. If he is serving 32 life sentences, however, we can only assume he is responsible for the murder of many people and probably should be dead regardless.

I'm sure it's possible if someone is really determined.

IMO, we should have executed him long before he had the opportunity to even contemplate making a deposit in a paper cup.

This is as farfetched as anything that's ever graced Maury Povich's stage! In fact, I'm imagining the mom doing the Run of Shame off the stage after being presented with the DNA results.

For some reason this story has really disturbed me. It is just disgusting from beginning to end, and I am pretty used to be disgusted by many of the stories that come out of Israel regarding terrorism attempts. It just seems this boy was brought to life in either a dishonest or illegitimate way, is going to have zero quality of life and is going to go on to murder more innocent people in the name of his 'father'.
