How long do your pantyhose last?

Mine last for years... because I hardly ever wear them.

I'd say they last for ~20-30 wearings, each a few hours long. I mostly wear them for simchas.

They used to last one wear. That is until I came across one particular type of the leggs brand. I have then for 2 mOnths

I am not rich and refuse to spend money on pantyhose.
In the winter I wear legging or tights and in the summer I go bare legged.

Pantyhose do not fit the criteria of covering ones legs for tznuis reasons.
The criteria for covering ourselves is that the covering must be opaque and not skin tight.
Pantyhose is a fashion trend that I do not subscribe to.

you mean tights? mine last hardly anything..a few days/week if I'm lucky
but it depends on the type you buy. the thicker they are, the longer they will last, however amongst the thin ones there is a range of quality, some are better. it's best to buy the ones with elastine - without this they will not last, and they also don't look as good. the elastine makes the tights grip your legs. the thicker they are the more frumpy they look. just look out for the percentage of elastine, it always says on the back.
in the winter I wear black tights too, far too cold otherwise. I can't really wear leggings to work but everywhere else yes I would wear leggings underneath my skirt.
in the summer I don't wear anything on my legs if it's hot

Smilingmom, I've heard sooooo many opinions on what is allowed, that it is kind of silly to define a single standard on this. My rav holds it must be opaque enough that it's apparent it's a stocking and not too sheer (about 30 denier). I have no idea what denier mine are but I think they're thicker than that.

I wear L'eggs Sheer Energy or No Nonsense Support which are pretty opaque. They're around $3/pair, but I usually find them cheaper. They last me several wearings. I do have some "peep toe" ones Smile

Usually if it snags, it doesn't run, it just forms a pill of fabric, so I still wear them.
