Have you ever won the lottery?

Some people are addicted to buying lotteries. I believe it's sort of like gambling.

What do you say, is it? or is it not?

Also do you think real people actually win big?

People win, it's just not usually anyone I know. I've won maybe $2 Smile

$12 not so long ago. It was a thrill. I rarely play, but the Powerball (or was it MegaMillions?) was up to over $300 million, so I had to give it a chance!

I don't buy the lottery, but it's really big here. There are stores that only sell lottery tickets. My mother used to give $10 worth of lottery tickets for our birthday. Now that I'm thinking about it, she should have given us how old we were worth of lottery tickets Smile

When I went to school in Boston. MA has much better odds than NY or at least they used to. Winning a couple hundred is really big to a grad student. One time I was given 4 tickets and 3 hit. I won about a thousand. I won various smaller amounts. I never hit the jackpot in a lottery.

I won �8 on the euromillions a few months ago.

Not the lottery,but I won 2 tickets to Disney Land

DH spends like $12 on scratch off tickets per month. I'd say he gets back about $5 per month. The most he's ever won is $20, I think.

I won a raffle for airfare for 2 to Israel 14 years ago but no lotteries!

I once won a leather jacket in a raffle. My husband won $1,000 in a raffle, and my brother once won dining room furniture in a raffle.

I believe that every penny we get comes from Hashem, whether we earn it, are gifted it, or win it. I like to buy lottery tickets once in a while, just in case Hashem wants to gift me any money.

I once won $100 on a scratch off lottery ticket, so I bought another one and won $50! but my winning streak ended there!

if you do the lottery, only do one side of numbers. I heard that if Hashem wants you to win, you'll win with the one ticket

if someone doesn't have a high income, it's good to do the lottery, it could be the only way Hashem has to give you money if you need it!

I have done a few scratch cards.
dh won $100 off one and over chanuka we did 8 (one a night) and won $11 (minus the $8 it cost)

So not sooo lucky.
