My kids who are fasting are already asking what I am making for tonight. Any suggestions?

coffee, orange juice

cake, fruit

lentil soup, bread

scrambled eggs, salad

we prob wont even get pat the cake and coffee though

I made a fruit shake with cashews in it. Then we had salmon- smeared with mayo, covered in dill, parsley, lemon, garlic, and salt, then baked. And salad with lettuce, raddish sprouts, tomatoes, cucumbers, peas, baby corn, hearts of palm, and hollandaise dressing. So good.

Get your kids that are asking about food to bake cookies. Smile

We had:
Garlic Toast
Melon
Oatmeal choco chip cookies
melon and grapes
split pea soup
salmon
salad
rice and lentils
pot knishes
pears n wine

Baked ziti, lasagne, quiche, eggs, tuna salad. I have soooo many leftovers from the past week, I will just warm it all up and put it out. I would love to go for pizza...(HA!)

Bagels, lox and cream cheese. But first, watermelon - simply the best food to break a fast on. The sweetness and the water in it make you feel better right away!

I guess we have more sensitive stomachs than most of you. I wouldn't dream of breaking a fast with fruit or cheese or anything dairy.
We had sweet tea with biscuits/a few cookies, and then fresh baguettes with salad (just tomato/cucumber) and shakshuka (basically eggs with tomato base).

Plan to make quiches also
for those who don't want they can have tofu pasta salad and dips
