| My DH told me that once he was standing in line at an auto parts store, returning a car part, and found himself swaying side to side with the thing, as if he had a baby in his arms.

| Did me a favor and washed laundry while I was out. Washed a 500 dollar silk top that is now a rag!

| He bought size 6 clothes for babies. He did this twice. I showed him the first time with socks. The second time was a coat.

Picked up the cheese for the fridge and paper for the garbage.
Ten minutes later opened the fridge to put in something else and saw the paper. Opened the garbage and saw the cheese.
Happens to me ALL THE TIME! _________________

When I slept in on one Sunday morning, I woke up and saw he gave the kids french toast for breakfast. I saw that everything was cleaned up, no eggs on the counter... I said " wow, you cleaned up the eggs too..." so he said eggs?!
He made the kids french toast without eggs! Plain fried bread! They all ate it beautifully!!!

| he warmed up a bottle of pumped milk by putting it into a hot cup of water. he says the baby didn't want to drink it. 'did you shake it?' 'I was supposed to shake it first?!' of course it had been mostly cold.....showed him the proper way to do it and made him give her the bottle anyway while I went off to pump.

| I think I posted this once a long time ago on a different thread. Once when dd was about 3 and in a stage where everything had to be exactly one way, I overheard her having a tantrum with dh that the banana he had given her had broken off and was no longer attached to the peel. He was trying to reason with her ("look, it's the same exact banana" or "but it tastes the same whether it is in the peel or not"). Of course she was not convinced by any of this and was sobbing about her broken banana that she no longer wanted. Next thing I know, it's quiet for a minute or two. Then dd comes out of the kitchen, satisfied, holding her scotch taped banana.

Thanks, I'm laughing too, remembering.... I think it is that really practical, "fix the problem" mentality that men are often blessed with....

Firstly, this thread is fun, it made me laugh! Secondly, it got me feeling sad that I couldnt conjure up a single funny thing dh has done, although I know he has. It reinforced the fact of how I tend to be pessimistic and instead of finding things fun funny and cute I get highly annoyed at stupidities.
so, op, thanks for reminding me to look at the funny side of my other half;)

This is funny but y'know I think sometimes (only sometimes!) the men come up with better ideas to calm a child down than us women. No offense

DH once wrote something in which he was trying to sound very educated, but he used the phrase "the underlining causes of _________ are..." _________________ "Fairy tales are more than true; not because they tell us that dragons exist, but because they tell us that dragons can be beaten."
- G.K. Chesterton
