| |
| I'd like to prepare Tilapia for dinner tonight. I usually bake it, but would like to know if it can be done as a stew...like with onions and carrots, and whatever else you might suggest. Ideas and recipes, please. TIA

| I made it once with vegetables - carrots, onions, peppers, and a little tomato sauce. I baked it all together in the oven. It was delicious, and it didn't taste fishy.

I do basically the same thing on the stove, saute onions and red, yellow, green peppers or whatever vegetables you like. Can tomato sauce with some water. Add cubes of tilapia with salt, pepper and brown sugar to taste. Yum!!

I made Tilapia wraps for dinner last night.
Eggs and breadcrumbs, then fried the tilapia (I know it's healthier baked).
Mada a veggie mixture of diced avocado, cucumber, tomato, and onion, with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
Prepard some ripped-up lettuce.
On whole wheat flour tortillas, I placed 1/2 slice tilapia fillet, a spoonful of avocado mixture, and a couple of lettuce leaves. Wrapped it up blintz style, and sliced it down the middle.
Served with soup as a first course. It was delicous! _________________ Chayalle

Wow, I just wanted to take a moment to thank you all for your wonderful Tilapia recipes. I prepared the fish on top of the stove, combining all the veggies I had on hand, and cooking it in a broth with tomato sauce, salt, pepper, and brown sugar...it was so deeeelicious and enjoyed by all. I'd like to try the tilapia in a wrap as suggested by Chayalle, but need to buy the wraps...
So, for everyone who took the time to help me out, thanks tons! It was greatly appreciated!
