Nothing in The Book. Nothing even remotely like these names except for Mallin, which is Shmuel.

Suby might be an Ashkenoozis pronunciation of Tubby, which is a nickname for Toba/Tova?

I went to camp with a girl named Suby (rhymes with Bubby). It was a nickname, but I can't remember her real name.

Mevi is a little girl born to sabra parents, in Israel.
Maalon is a boy whose siblings all have modern Hebrew names.
I saw Subie online.

I know someone named suba. I don't know the origin of the name- likely some distortion of a tanachi name, or whatever the local language was. I think her background is Hungarian.

Tova and toby are both spelled with a tes. How can subi come from that?

Subby is a nickname for Subbel (sp?) which is a yiddish name, can come together with the english name Sabina.
