ISO Marinade for Grilled Chicken Salad

I'd like to marinate the chicken in something to give it flavor before grilling it. Any ideas?

I usually use fat free italian dressing or mrs dash's herb and garlic marinade. both are delicious!

Mustard lemon juice oil and spices like parlsley pepper and a little bit of salt

Is there anything that I can use as both a marinade and a dressing?

The Dining In cookbook has a great recipe - Grilled Chicken Salad Appetizer.

You mix together soy sauce, garlic powder and lemon juice. Take out 2 Tbsp and marinate the chicken in the rest, spill out the marinade and then grill the chicken.

Salad Dressing: To the marinade that you separated add mayonnaise and some sugar.

I ended up using BBQ sauce and mayo with some spices. It was okay, but didn't go over that well.

I had chicken salad in Israel, in Koros al ha'eish in Center 1 in Yerushalayim, and I'd really love to replicate that if I can. Just throwing it out there in case anyone knows what I mean.
