| |
Ds used to be a dream at night. At about 6 months he would fall asleep around 8. I would give him a dream feed at 10:30. He would cry to be fed around 4am and then at 7am he would wake up. Occasionally he would cry to be fed at 3am and then 6am but then go back to sleep till 7. he also took 3 naps, early morning, noon, late afternoon.
Then we went away for yom tov, he got sick, he was teething, etc etc etc.
He is now almost 9 months and here is his schedule:
7am wake up
8am nurse
10/10:30 nap for 1-2 hours
11:30ish bottle
12:30 lunch
2:30/3 nap for ~1.5 hours
4:15ish bottle
6:15 supper followed by nurse
7:45 nurse
8-8:15 bed
10:30 dream feed
12:30ish wake up crying- usually can get back to sleep without nurseing
2:30 nurse
5:30/6 nurse
7am wake up
he also has started crying after about an hour of sleep a few times in the evening. he is still sleeping, I just go in and murmer to him, stroke his cheek, give him a pacifier, sometimes when hes not calming down I rock him... but he is pretty much sleeping the whole time.
Im not to keen on CIO type of sleep training. But I think its a bit ridiculous. he used to sleep MUCH better then he is now. any ideas?

| His morning and afternoon eating times are pretty spaced out. Any way you can add some nursing or bottles so he gets in more during the day? He probably needs more calories by now and that's why he's waking up.

He is eating solids (well mush mostly and a few first finger foods) but only for lunch and supper. We tried breakfast a few times over the past month but he wasnt interested.
The problem is that when he is done he is done (with solids as well as breastmilk (bottle or nursed)). He wont open his mouth for nothing. Until about 3 hours later when he gets hungry again. I also dont want him eating ALL the time (every 1.5 hours is to much) he is doing basically every 3 hours right now, with solids at lunch and supper time.
How do I get him to eat more if this indeed is the issue?

| Well, you said he eats at 8 and then 11:30- so that's 3.5 hours. And 12:30 lunch-4:15 bottle is almost 4 hours. I know you're times are approximate, but based on that: can you try offering him a bottle before each nap?
