I think it's a pretty name.... it makes me think of the fashion designer Naama Bezael.
Americans are more used to 'ethinic' names, I think, especially names that have nice meanings.

| It's a beautiful name both in meaning and in resonance. If you are living in the US, however, the double A might be problematic for people unfamiliar with the name and lead to many mispronunciations. Using an apostrophe between the two A's would be somewhat helpful in that direction, I think.

I'm sorry. REALLY not trying to be mean here. I always read the "baby name" threads with a grain of salt, because taste in names is REALLY subjective...But, what in the world is your point? I can't even explain my question. Hopefully you will understand it.

I just come from a family where everyone names after someone.. so the concept of just picking a name that you like is odd to them. I've also heard that if you use certain name they will have a certain nature.... and thats what I'm wondering about.

Looks are not a "nature". I was told that this concept refers to middos, which you hope will be beautiful.

I know a few Naamas. Families are more modern.
How the baby will look depends on your genes, not the name.
