I've always heard that movers were often - very often - swindlers.
let's just say I was hoping I wouldn't be one of those victims.
somehow the $55/an hour became $55 an hour per guy (2 guys).
the ad that stated no fees for stairs, became $100 per set (=$300)
they don't unload till you pay up.
then we worked something out (more towards their end than ours) and they ended up leaving the furniture on the sidewalk outside our home and drove off, despite our "agreement."
not so sure small claims court or anything will help, because they did sneak all the info (well, not the running off and leaving furniture on sidewalk) into the contract.
read your contracts carefully!!!!
