My niece is getting married and because both of them are planning on doing an ultra-cheap, simple wedding I told her that I'd be able to find a cheap place to get wedding invites so that she can then send out?

Do any of you know of a website or a place where I can purchase one wedding invitation, write the text that I want on it . . .? She wanted to purchase just one invite, scan it into the computer and then email it to all her guests??

I'm not that techy, and it's been a while since I've been a part of any wedding planning whatsoever, so I'm a little embarassed to ask if anyone here could help me???
TIA

You can get fairly inexpensive blank invitations to print at home at office supply and craft stores. However, you have to buy the whole box.

If the invitations are to be emailed, how about using a service such as Evite.com or Paperless Post?

Vistaprint.com lets you design your own invites and prints them on card stock. It's inexpensive. I'm not sure if they supply envelopes. You should just know that the finished product may not look exactly the way it does on your screen, specifically the type may be smaller than you think.

Instead of buying a single paper invitation, scanning, and emailing, wouldn't it make more sense to just create an e-vite?

OP here.

I've actually never heard of evite. com. I'll take a look at it.
She wanted both English and Hebrew text, hence the reason why I was asking about a way to order 1 card.

I thought of vista print, but is there any way that I can put Hebrew text on there too?

Thanks!!!

I designed my own wedding invitations then sent the pdf to a printers and assembled them myself. This was significantly cheaper for us and we got the design we really wanted which was very different from anyone else's.

You don't need to be techy for this, just designy.

You can put Hebrew, Yiddish, Swahili or Klingon. All you need to do is send them a computer file. If you don't have Hebrew fonts on your machine, find someone who does.

DH did this for us as well. We printed at Kinko's, and everything came out great. He designed a logo and everything. If she's interested, I'm sure he could do the same for your niece, and send her a pdf for her to either print or email out.
